Willy Margo hat mit Eastern Standard Time zwei Genres gemischt, von denen ich nie gedacht hätte, dass sie so gut funktionieren: Dream-Pop & Drum’n’Bass!
Willy Margo heißt eigentlich Spencer Ramirez und ist ein Musiker. Laut Spotifys meist gehörten Orten von Eastern Standard Time kommt der Typ wohl aus Los Angeles. Das wäre dann aber auch nur eine grobe Schätzung, wie die Wahlergebnisse in Russland. Die einzige Info, die ich sonst noch über ihn gefunden habe, ist dss Eastern Standard Time die erste Single aus dem neuen Album sein soll.
Worauf ich eigentlich hinauswollte, ist der Umstand, dass Willy Margo hier tatsächlich Dream-Pop mit fucking Drum’n’Bass gemischt hat und dabei einen Song geschaffen hat, der wirklich hörbar ist! Wie geil ist das denn? Am Anfang habe ich gar nicht gecheckt, dass das alles ein Song ist, ich dachte zuerst, irgendwo läuft noch eine Werbung im Hintergrund oder so. Absoluter Mindblow! Ich wäre niemals auf die Idee gekommen, diese zwei Genre-Element in einen Song zu packen! Aber es funktioniert tatsächlich!
Großes Lob dafür, dass ich sowas wirklich noch nie gehört habe! Das hat mich wirklich umgehauen 🙂
