Sergio Selva hat mit Full View eine soulige, sehr rauchige und extrem zurückgelehnte erste Single aus seiner bald erscheinenden EP veröffentlicht. Neo-Soul küsst Jazz.

Sergio Selva ist ein 23 Jahre alter R&B/Soul Künstler aus der Undercover-Kreativen Stadt Brighton in England. Ansonsten ist noch nicht viel über diesen jungen Künstler im Internet zu finden. Reicht ja eigentlich auch, oder? 🙂

2014 veröffentlichte Sergio Selva bereits eine vier Songs starke EP mit dem treffenden Namen Everything’s Hazy, When Wines Involved E.P. An der Stelle muss ich kurz anmerken, dass es glaube ich eine kluge Entscheidung war, Musik zu machen und nicht Bücher zu schreiben. 😉

Full View klingt echt sexy. Die Drums klingen ziemlich smoky und die ganze Nummer ist einfach mega zurückgelehnt. Jazzige Chorde, ein Saxophon, gelayerte Vocals und dann gibt es mitten im Song sogar noch einen Rhythmuswechsel. Erinnert mich etwas an May Ayres, Tom Misch oder Hablot Brown. Alles sehr gute und feine Künstler, die vom Takt-Gott geküsst wurden.

Ab und zu klingen die Drums so, als würden da zwei Spuren übereinander laufen, aber irgendwie trägt das zum Charakter des ganzen Songs bei, oder nicht? Insgesamt eine echt groovige Nummer mit Wiedererkennungswert. Hör mal rein:
