Clueso. Gewinner. Cello. Wenn wir mal ehrlich sind, sind das die ersten Assoziationen, die man mit diesem Künstler hat, oder nicht? So ging es mir zumindest, bis zum Konzert im Capitol in Hannover. Mittlerweile weiß ich, dass Clueso ein hochbegabter Musiker, Sänger, Rapper und Alleinunterhalter ist, der eine mindestens genauso begabte Band um sich versammelt hat. Doch alles der Reihe nach:
Das Bühnenbild war simpel gehalten, dafür aber sehr schön. Eine komplette Wand aus Holz bildete den Hintergrund, dann hingen ein paar Lichterketten darüber und es stand ein kleiner Hocker und eine gemütliche Lampe direkt neben Clueso. Dazwischen die Instrumente. Obwohl diese große Halle ausverkauft und es wirklich voll war, hatte ich irgendwie das Gefühl, auf einem Wohnzimmerkonzert zu sein. Nur eben in XXL.
Im August diesen Jahres erschien das neue Album Handgepäck, eine 18 Songs starke Sammlung von Liedern und Ideen, die Clueso während seiner unzähligen Touren geschrieben und aufgenommen hat. Laut eigener Aussage, war dieses Album und die dazugehörige Tour eine Herzensangelegenheit und das habe ich als Zuhörer auch gehört! Außerdem war dieses Konzert das letzte der Tour, weshalb sich alle nochmal richtig ins Zeug gelegt haben.
Obwohl diese Tour also eigentlich im Zeichen von Handgepäck stand, hat er uns mit seinen besten Songs bespielt. Das Tagesgeschäft also. Cello, Achterbahn Du und Ich, Keinen Zentimeter, Chicago und natürlich die Highlight Gewinner und Barfuss.
Auch gab es zwei Cover zu hören. Eingedeutschte Cover allerdings, da sein Englisch laut ihm selbst, sehr schlecht ist. Das eine Cover war von einer Band namens Crowded House und heißt im Original Four Seasons in a Day. Clueso hat dann Vier Jahreszeiten an einem Tag daraus gemacht und ich muss sagen, dass der Song auf deutsch nochmal ganz anders kommt, aber hör dir beide Versionen einfach mal selber an. Das andere Cover war das altbekannte Fire von Bruce Springsteen, mit der echt kreativen Idee, einen Sex on Fire Mashup daraus zu machen. Damit hatte ich echt nicht gerechnet und der Rest der Zuhörer auch nicht, weswegen diese Bombe auch voll einschlug und alle ausrasten ließ!
Insgeheim habe ich mich am meisten auf Gewinner und Barfuss gefreut. Letzterer ist übrigens mein Lieblingssong, aber als dann Gewinner angestimmt wurde, änderte sich auf einmal die Atmosphäre im Raum und alle waren wirklich still und haben zugehört. Da hatte ich wirklich Gänsehaut. Das letzte Mal, dass mir sowas passiert ist, war bei den Red Hot Chili Peppers, als sie Wet Sand gespielt haben. Großes Lob dafür Clueso und Band!
Obwohl Clueso und seine Truppe wirklich professionell abgeliefert haben, sind mir einige Kleinigkeiten aufgefallen: Der Sound war tatsächlich ziemlich leise. Also wirklich leise. Die Musik von Clueso an sich ist ja eher so Schatz-im-Arm-halten-und-kuscheln, aber bei Achterbahn oder anderen energetischeren Liedern hätte man erwarten können, dass die Meute etwas mehr ausrastet. Auf der Bühne ging die Post ab, im Publikum ist aber exakt nichts passiert.
Das ist wahrscheinlich eine der Auswirkungen der langen Tour gewesen. Die Luft war wohl doch etwas raus. Akustik-Set hin oder her, etwa mehr Druck hätte ich mir schon gewünscht. So plätscherten manche Songs einfach nur etwas teilnahmslos vor sich hin und Jutta und Barbara hinter mir konnten sich in Ruhe über irgendwelche belanglosen Dinge unterhalten. Da wurde aus meiner Sicht teilweise das Publikum nicht genug gebunden und Langeweile kam auf.
Diese Kleinigkeiten haben aber nicht davon abgelenkt, dass Clueso eine extrem begabte Band hat. Denn jeder konnte gefühlt jedes Instrument auf Profi-Level spielen! Hätten die noch angefangen, zwischen den Songs zu jonglieren und Schwerter zu schlucken, hätte das auch voll ins Bild gepasst. Innerhalb der Solos gab es teilweise minutenlange Saxophon-, Piano- oder Drum-Solos, die Clueso die Show stahlen und ihn eher wie einen Roadie wirken ließen.

Lieber Clueso,
solltest du das hier lesen, dann ließ bitte das: Du kannst nicht nur geile Texte schreiben, nein du kannst auch locker mal fünf Minuten auf einen Hip Hop Beat freestylen und dabei die Leute anzünden. Allerdings reicht es vollkommen aus, wenn du deine Band einmal vorstellst. Du bespielst keine Alzheimer-Patienten. Solange die Besetzung nicht nach jedem Song wechselt, kann ich mir die Namen auch über eine Konzertlänge ganz gut merken. 🙂
Kurzes und knackiges Fazit: Clueso hat es wirklich in jeder Hinsicht drauf. Wenn er mal in deiner Stadt spielt, solltest du dir definitiv überlegen hinzugehen, denn auch wenn du nicht alle seine Songs kennst, wirst du trotzdem gut unterhalten werden und einen mega spaßigen Abend haben! 🙂 Picky Tim out.
