West Parade heißt eigentlich Charlie Chipchase (der heißt wirlich so) und ist ein Bedroom-Producer aus West London. Five Foot Greaser ist seine zweite offizielle Single und kommt mit einem ziemlich funkigen Vibe daher. 2018 veröffentlichte er seine Debüt-Single Abinger, die er allerdings als „Demo“ labelte.
Five Foot Greaser klingt für mich so spannend, weil der Song zum einen diese funkigen, gesampelten Drums und zum anderen diese jazzigen Akkorde hat. Dazu singt Mr. Chipchase noch so androgyn darüber, dass man denken könnte, young Michael Jackson hätte noch einen auf der Pfanne gehabt.
Besonders gut gefallen haben mir an dem Song die Drums und die Vocals. An sich ist Five Foot Greaser gar nicht mal so aufregend, das Tempo und der generelle Vibe sprechen aber einfach für sich und geben dem Song einen gewissen Touch.

Hey, I think your website might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog in Firefox, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, very good blog!
