Wie der Titel schon sagt, bin ich hier auf eine extrem explosive Mischung gestoßen. PRADA MEINHOFF, das ist ein bisschen Punk, ein bisschen Techno, rotziger Gesang, viele Haare, ein Bass, und eine Menge aufgewirbelter Staub. Gesehen habe ich die Cola-küsst-Orange Band im Chéz Heinz in Hannover, einem Club dessen Blinker nach links zeigt.
Zuerst gehört habe ich PRADA MEINHOFF auf ihrer neuen EP Stress, zu der ich auch eine Review geschrieben habe. Nachdem ich beim Hören der EP schon gut am schwitzen war, musste ich mir die zwei einfach live anhören. Gästeliste klärt und zack stehe ich zwischen mittelalten Eltern, sich-verstanden-gefühlten 16 jährigen Hypebeast-Kids und den Standard-Rockern, die du sowieso immer auf Konzerten antriffst. Wenn du übrigens noch mehr über Konzertbesucher lesen willst, dann verweise ich auf meine Top 12 der Konzertbesucher, die du kennen musst!
Das Konzert fand an einem Sonntagabend statt, dementsprechend war die Atmosphäre eher etwas gelassener. Die Leute wollten sich einfach noch ein bisschen Kunst anhören, bevor wieder der scheiß Montag an der Reihe war. So zumindest die wahrgenommene Stimmung.
Als Vorband wurden mir die Snoffeltoffs serviert. Eine zwei Mann und eine Frau starke Band, die so aussehen als würden sie zusammen in einer WG wohnen und eine mittelmäßig erfolgreiche Youtube-Serie in ihrer Freizeit präsentieren. Das Set der Snoffeltoffs fand ich relativ lasch, man hat einfach gemerkt, dass die Luft raus war. Mister Ich-sollte-eigentlich-Stimmung-machen-als-Frontsänger hat auch mehrmals erwähnt, dass er und die Band echt fertig sind. Auf menschlicher Ebene auf jeden Fall nachvollziehbar. Weiß nicht, was Dieter Bohlen dazu gesagt hätte. Trotzdem Respekt an die Drummerin, die Beats waren deftig und on point. Die drei haben auf alle Fälle noch mal die Chance zu beweisen was sie können, wenn sie mal mit eigener Tour unterwegs sind. Ich schmeiß dann ein paar Powerriegel nach vorne! 😉
Kommen wir nun zum Hauptgericht: PRADA MEINHOFF. Zuallererst ist mir das Setup aufgefallen. Die Bühne war einfach komplett leer. In der Mitte stand der Bass-Amp, an der rechten Seite ein mittleres Midi-Keyboard und ein paar Knöpfe und auf der linken Seite stand einfach wahllos ein Mini-Synthie im Raum. Diese Aufstellung hat mich ein wenig an einen Gig auf einer Lachshäppchen-Party erinnert. Aber eine, auf der nur Rollkragen-tragende Neureiche abhängen und der ganze Raum nach frisch saniert und Intellektualität riecht. Im Endeffekt hätte ich gerne mal gesehen, wie PRADA MEINHOFF dieses von mir erdachte Szenario zerlegen.
Nun gut, Christin und René kommen auf die Bühne und drehen sofort voll auf. Der klassische Opener, erstmal richtig Lärm machen. Das können die zwei tatsächlich ziemlich gut und ehrlich gesagt hatte ich auch nichts anderes erwartet. Stress eröffnet das Konzert und der Dude in der ersten Reihe zieht schon seit T-Shirt aus. Nice.
Als nächstes kommt dann das ganze Repertoire von PRADA MEINHOFF. Eisbär, Melancholie, Express, Maske und Krieg, an die Titel kann ich mich noch safe erinnern. Keine großen Überraschungen oder eine Bühnenshow. Wie auch mit zwei Leuten? Die eine singt, der andere rockt den Bass. Ab und zu gab es mal ein kleines Gereibe von Christin an der Säule, das war eine ganz nette Abwechslung, ansonsten gab es visuell nicht so viel Input. War aber auch nicht weiter schlimm, die Musik allein hat gereicht. Das kleine 1×1 der Bühnen-Performance, wie das dramatische Auf-die-Knie-fallen oder sich beim spielen tief in die Augen kam authentisch rüber und wirkte nicht einstudiert.
Das Konzert beenden die beiden mit Keith, also einer eher ruhigeren Nummer. Auch das kommt nicht unerwartet, nach gefühlten 90 Minuten Stress und Lärm kann man auch mal etwas ruhiger Tschüss sagen. 🙂 Gelungener Abschluss des Konzertes, nachdem alle ihre Energie vertanzt haben, beruhigt man sich gemeinsam wieder.

Insgesamt war das Konzert ziemlich laut, energetisch, wütend und mit sehr viel Lärm. Also wirklich Lärm. Extrem verzerrte Bass-Solos, lautes Geschrei von Christin und manchmal wirklich einfach nur Störgeräusche. Das fand ich etwas weniger nice. Obwohl ich eigentlich auch mehr der Fan von vorwärts und in die Fresse bin, hätte ich mir an der einen Stelle einen ruhigeren Track gewünscht, um einfach mal kurz runterzuschalten und das Erlebte zu verarbeiten. Wenn man die ganze Zeit durchbrettert, geht die Dynamik verloren und die Leute sind irgendwann gesättigt und schalten ab.
Außerdem klingen die Songs direkt hintereinander gereiht, alle relativ ähnlich. Ich hätte mir auch tatsächlich etwas mehr Gespräche mit dem Publikum gewünscht. Hier und da mal eine Erklärung zum Songtext oder so hätten sicherlich Sympathiepunkte gegeben.
Alles in allem war das Konzert von PRADA MEINHOFF aber schon eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich jedem empfehlen kann, der beim sprechen mit anderen Menschen nicht nur auf die Schuhe schaut. Oder gerne mit Ellenbogen tanzt. Oder beides.
