Die funkig-frische Viererkombination aus Wien hat erst kürzlich ihre Debüt-EP Strike veröffentlicht. Darauf finden sich sechs starke Songs, die zwar alle unterschiedliche Sounds haben, von der Baseline her aber alle gleich klingen. Nämlich nach KRAYNE.
Der Song mit dem erotischen Titel sticht meiner Meinung nach aber besonders hervor. Need 2 Please U fängt mit einem verträumten Synthie-Feld an. Doch spätestens wenn der Bass und die Percussions reinkommen, wird klar, dass der Song etwas mehr Feuer mitbringt. Und siehe da, ich als Hörer werde nicht enttäuscht.
Lasziver Gesang, großflächige Synthies und eine smoothe Gitarre. Dann geht es los. Kein richtiger Rap, kein richtiger Gesang, mehr so was in der Mitte. Und das ist ziemlich spannend. Der Pre-Chorus fährt den kompletten Song runter. Durch diesen nicen Build-Up bis zum Chorus entsteht ein spannender Kontrast und Need 2 Please U bekommt eine komplexere Struktur.
Im Chorus erlöst uns KRAYNE dann von unserem Leid und geht damit gleichzeitig in das große Finale über: Ein deftiges Solo wird noch serviert, bevor dann das gemütliche Outro erklingt. Ein toller Song mit besonderer Songstruktur, der nicht mehr braucht, um zu überzeugen als das, was er bereits benutzt. Wie poetisch.
